A tag has been placed on Bring flashforward back requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:17, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Bring flashforward back, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. A tag has been placed on Bring flashforward back requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

The two most recent creations of Bring flashforward back were just a {{hangon}} tag; those were correctly deleted as an article with no content.

The prior article was about fan efforts to get ABC to continue the FlashForward television series. Looking at the article, the subject, Bring flashforward back, is a Facebook group. Since there is no claim of the significance or importance of the group, and since there is no evidence that the group has been reported about in reliable sources, that article was correctly deleted under criterion A7 for speedy deletion: an article about web content (or a person, specific animal, or organization) with no assertion of the significance or importance of the subject.

It might be appropriate to mention the Facebook groups in the FlashForward article, but only if they've gotten some coverage in the media and not just in blogs. —C.Fred (talk) 23:42, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you want to restore the article, explain why it should be recreated either here or at Talk:Bring flashforward back, but do not create a page with nothing but the hangon tag. —C.Fred (talk) 23:43, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • In reply to your comment to me:
Also- I am the head coordinator for the Detroit Protest…

You have a conflict of interest with the subject. Accordingly, while you are not forbidden from editing about subjects you are related to (yourself, your employer, organizations you belong to, friends and family members, etc.), you must make sure to maintain a neutral point of view in the text and to back all your claims up with reliable sources.

I haven't looked at the links you provided; I did want to go ahead and give you the information on conflicts of interest, as well as provide your status information to any other editors who are contacting you here. —C.Fred (talk) 23:57, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

After looking at the links, I think it is appropriate to mention the planned protest in the FlashForward article within the context of the cancellation of the show. However, I don't see anything that makes the Facebook groups, demonstration committees, protest, or anything else notable enough for an independent article.
Obviously, inclusion there will require working with other editors who are active in the FlashForward article to get consensus about how to mention the protests. You should likely start discussion at Talk:FlashForward about it. —C.Fred (talk) 00:01, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Flash Forward"

[edit]

Your page is being deleted because (1) it contains no content and (2) more importantly, it is not something suitable for Wiki. It's something suited for a fan board, message board, or a personal web page. You can't make a page like that, so you are best to not do it anymore. Just thought I'd explain, since I didn't see anything here. Human.v2.0 (talk) 23:55, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To add in, the page I deleted was created with only the following content: "{{hangon}}" and I deleted under Wikipedia:CSD#A3, as there was no content in the article. SpencerT♦Nominate! 19:38, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
